The BlastAssist ®System is designed for use with or without Universal
IVF from fertilisation through to blastocyst development.
Background
Sequential culturing of human embryos from fertilisation to the blastocyst
stage has been demonstrated to improve selection of embryos with higher implantation
rates.
BlastAssist®System is supplied as ready-to-use solutions for dedicated
blastocyst culturing and consists of two sequential media.
The media contain L-glutamine in its bioavailable form to give maximum delivery
of this component within the culture environment. L-glutamine is relatively unstable,
and consequently the shelf life of the BlastAssist®System is limited.
